Establish around the turn of the 19th century, Red Wing shoes have specialised in making high-quality, rugged boots that are built to last. To this day the boots continue to find favour for their practicality and vintage workwear look.
Red Wing Shoes was built on America’s great promise; if one worked hard enough, one could achieve anything. Charles Beckman, a Red Wing, Minnesota merchant was a big believer in this promise. From his main street shoe store, he saw firsthand the need for durable and comfortable boots, and in 1905, he founded the Red Wing Shoe Company. Word of the quality and comfort built into every pair spread quickly and the company prospered.
Today a third generation of employees, located just down the road from the original factory, continues this tradition by using the same craftsmanship and attention to detail. Triple-stitched seams, sturdy welt construction and rich leathers are signature elements of every Red Wing boot.
Named after machine operators in early 20th-century cotton mills, the Rover 2951 features Dull Gilt hardware, a Malt Cushion Crepe sole and ever-popular Black Harness leather. #redwingheritage 📷: @lucasbotz
