BACKSTORY
The Hay Barro Side Plate in Dark Blue is not merely a dining accessory but a piece steeped in history and craftsmanship. Originating from the creative minds at HAY, a Danish design house renowned for merging contemporary aesthetics with traditional techniques, this plate exemplifies their design ethos. Inspired by classic Scandinavian design, the Barro Side Plate is crafted from high-quality stoneware, ensuring both durability and elegance. Its deep blue glaze, reminiscent of the serene Nordic night sky, is achieved through a meticulous process involving multiple layers of glazing and firing. This results in a rich, almost luminous finish that elevates any dining setting. The plate’s clean lines and minimalist design harken back to mid-century modern influences, yet its understated elegance makes it timeless. Ideal for both casual meals and formal gatherings, the Hay Barro Side Plate in Dark Blue seamlessly blends functionality with a touch of artisanal craftsmanship. Whether used for serving appetizers or desserts, it adds a sophisticated touch to any table.
