The Mens Macallan 12 Year Old Double Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Boasting a rich history dating back to 1824, The Macallan is one of Scotland’s most renowned and respected whisky producers. Located in the illustrious Speyside region, Macallan has built up a cult reputation for its Single Malt releases; particularly rare expressions can sell for thousands of pounds, and demand and prices are constantly increasing. Macallan Double Cask 12 Year Old combines the classic Macallan styles with sweet American oak. Matured in a combination of American and European oak for a minimum of 12 years, the resulting whisky is classic Macallan; rich, savoury, broad and spicy with abundant honeyed notes of dried fruits, orange, nutmeg, ginger, vanilla custard, butterscotch, nuts and toffee. A delicious example, which offers great complexity for a 12-year-old Scotch. “Macallan is the daddy, as far as legendary whiskies go.” So says whisky expert Ian Buxton.
