The Mens Macallan Gold Double Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Gold Double Cask replaces the much-loved Gold expression from The 1824 Series in the newly revamped Macallan range. Lovingly matured in American and European oak casks that have been seasoned with Oloroso Sherry, imparting that wonderful burnished gold colour. Opulently rich, gently sweet and deeply malty, this oaky dram is laced with lemon peel, marmalade, dark chocolate-covered ginger, spiced apple crumble, smouldering wood fire smoke, dried fruits soaking for a Christmas cake and honeyed cinnamon sticks. It’s a new name, but it’s that classic Macallan decadence. “Macallan is the daddy, as far as legendary whiskies go.” So says whisky expert Ian Buxton.

Established in 1824 by the river Spey in Scotland, Macallan is a celebrated Scotch Whisky distillery. The Macallan Whiskey is a very characteristic Speysider aged for 12, 18, 25 and even 72 years in sherry and select oak casks. The Macallan Whisky Makers Edition is regarded as ‘one of the best malts in the world’.
